Dr. Kathryn Toure is Regional Director for eastern and southern Africa for the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). She is based in Nairobi, Kenya with a dynamic team of about 30 colleagues. She studied political science, education, and African history. She promotes the circulation of African worldviews through writing and publishing. Her commitments to women’s empowerment, diversity and inclusion, working across boundaries, and intergenerational learning are integral to her work.
