Patricia Nying'uro is a climate scientist working at the Kenya Meteorological Department. She is a climate change expert with special emphasis on impacts of climate change on weather and subsequently on local communities. She is the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) focal point for Kenya and in this role she coordinates. the Kenyan government's participation in the IPCC for each assessment report and most recently for the 6th Assessment report cycle. She is also the lead negotiator for Research, Science and Review for Kenya, African Group of Negotiators and G77 & China under the UNFCCC.
